Ex Construction Site Engineer Graham is your host he left his proper career job, (where he was known as “the cycling engineer”)  for this lifestyle job in 2017. He has a real passion for this area and takes pride in ensuring guests have a good stay and also enjoy exploring the Valley and its surroundings.

I have walked and cycled various parts of Europe and beyond hopefully so know what you need after a day out, having stayed in similar accommodation, and try to provide this here at Cleikum Mill Lodge.

I love this area and tried to think of everything to make it easy for you in all aspects of your stay.

I have provided information and facilities to hopefully help make it easy for you to do so.

If your like me, our bikes and kit are pretty important to us and a high priority , so rest easy they are well looked after here and we have the little extra’s and security to them to be treated as VIP,s as well .

I  have cycled all my life and knows this area extensively by car, bike, on foot and public transport.

I pretty much run the place on my own as its my only job ,not a hobby or investment. I am not retired either!  My full time job is to ensure you have a great stay.

I have occasional (and essential) help from Cath who teaches at the local University. She is embedded in Innerleithen life, you may see her helping in other business’s in the High St.  She has helped from my opening day. Her son travels and works with Pro Teams in the UCI Downhill Mtb Series carving a name out for himself in media travelling the mtb circuit year round and has over 13,500 followers on Insta!
